Suspect sought in Durham shooting death

Posted May 1, 2012

— Durham police said that two men forced their way into an apartment early Tuesday and shot a man to death.

Carl Anthony Presley, 35, was killed around 2:30 a.m. inside his apartment at 3307 Mordecai St., police said.

Arrest warrants were issued Tuesday night for Kerry W. Graham Jr., 16, of 1315 Morreene Road, on charges of first-degree murder and first-degree burglary, police said.

Graham is not in custody.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Durham police at 919-560-4440, extension 29320 or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for anonymous tips that solve crimes.

The apartment complex is near Duke University, but police said no students were involved.

iknowjack, AWW one bad joke and a misspelled word and you've got me figured out! Wow a brilliant and perceptive mind like yours is trolling a message board instead of coming up with a cure for cancer or Durham's crime problem, what a waste of talent.

"South Durham needs to succeed from the North."

Little confused here. all of the homicides in the city this year except one have happened south of the freeway...

The person who wrote that is more than a little confused.

if I was the police chief, had my vehicle shot at, and all of the crime and shootings all over Durham, I would have every officer patrolling and arresting anyone committing crime and crack down on everyone, sure it would make a liberal crazy and unfortunately they aren't the ones getting shot!

Durham, well I guess you have to first look at the government establishment. Crooked District Attorney, ineffective Police chief, Mayor will not confront his constituents who are committing the violence and demand that it stop, head in the sand looking for someone else to blame and protest against. Then look at the citizens themselves, they refuse to take back their city and demand a better government. You got what you wanted in Durham, City of Medicine..........to be used on the victims of the Crime Capital of NC

..ineffective police chief? funny, the mayors voters are the first to complain to his office when the police try to suppress the gang and drug infested areas where the violence occurs. Check the records of the shooters, doubt any of them are first offenders. police arrest, magistrates and judges let them out. And god forbid you want to support owning a weapon to protect yourself...
