— Police arrested one man and are looking for another after an armed robbery and fight after hours at a Garner restaurant.

Police said two men entered Buffalo Brothers, at 7245 Whiteoak Road, around 4:45 a.m. and attempted to rob two people inside. The restaurant was closed at the time, but the two victims inside were doing contract work on the building.

The four people got into what police described as a struggle, and one of the suspects was shot. Jessie Martin McLaurin, 23, of Raleigh, was taken to WakeMed to be treated for the gunshot wound. No one else was injured.

McLaurin faces charges, including robbery with a dangerous weapon and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Police are searching for his accomplice, who fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Anyone with information should call the Garner Police Department at 919-772-8810.
