Durham police still searching for suspect in February slaying

Police said Tuesday that they are searching for the brother of a man charged in the shooting death of a Durham woman last month.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police on Tuesday asked for the public's help as they continue to search for a man charged in the February shooting death of a Durham woman.

Warrants have been issued charging Arsenio Jarmal Lamberth, 23, with murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, two counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle, possession of a firearm by and convicted felon and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.

His brother, Dominique Xazier Lamberth, 23, of Creedmoor was arrested in March on the same charges stemming from the Feb. 26 death of 25-year-old Kourtney Krista Dawson.

Police said the brothers robbed a man of $20 at gunpoint and then fired shots at the man's vehicle as he drove away. One of the shots struck and killed Dawson as she was walking on Holloway Street, police said.
