DURHAM, N.C. — Police said Tuesday that they are searching for the brother of a man charged in the shooting death of a Durham woman last month.

Dominique Xazier Lamberth, 23, of Creedmoor was arrested over the weekend in Louisburg and charged with murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, two counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.

Warrants have been issued for Arsenio Jarmal Lamberth, 23, on the same charges.

The charges stem from the Feb. 26 death of 25-year-old Kourtney Krista Dawson.

Police said the brothers robbed a man of $20 at gunpoint and then fired shots at the man's vehicle as he drove away. One of the shots struck and killed Dawson as she was walking on Holloway Street, police said.

Dominique Lamberth was being held without bond in the Durham County jail.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Arsenio Lamberth is asked to call Durham police at 919-560-4440, extension 29325, or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200.
