Suspect in Elderly Woman's Robbery Surrenders

Posted April 7, 2008

— A fourth teen suspected in a January assault on an 81-year-old woman has surrendered to Cumberland County deputies, authorities said Monday.

Derrick Robinson, 19, of 429 Knapdale Road in Parkton, was charged with felony conspiracy to commit armed robbery with a dangerous weapon. He was in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $21,500 secured bond.

Dustin Mantz, 17, Brandon Demetris Robinson, 17, and Ryan Detrell Robinson, 16, were arrested previously in the case on charges of first-degree burglary, robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a stolen motor vehicle and conspiracy to commit a felony.

Investigators said the four teens broke into the woman's home, robbed her at gunpoint and stole her pickup truck.

Really brave dudes, break into an elderly woman's home at gunpoint. Just send them to Caledonia Farms for about 10 years.

...next time they might break into an armed citizen who will put an end to their probation...

  • Fishman Apr 7, 2008

Don't worry, they will be out on probation soon enough to commit more crimes.
