Suspect in Doghouse Bar murder armed and dangerous

Fayetteville police have identified a suspect in the murder of a woman outside the Doghouse Bar on Wednesday.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police have identified a suspect in the murder of a woman outside the Doghouse Bar on Wednesday.

Harvey Bernard Gibbs Jr., 35, of 5964 Dalton Road, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Lakeisha Robinson. Investigators say he killed Robinson in the parking lot of Doghouse, 3049 Owen Drive, on Aug. 20.

Officers described Gibbs as a black man, standing approximately 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing 190 pounds.

Police warned that Gibbs has been convicted of armed robbery and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Gibbs served six years in prison for robbery with a dangerous weapon, according to state Department of Correction records. He was released in 1997.
