Suspect in custody after police chase
Roads were closed in Raleigh Saturday night after a man driving a pickup truck with stolen plates led police on a chase and then crashed.
Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — A man attempting to evade police caused a road closure in Raleigh Saturday before he was caught, police said.
According to police the chase started just before 7:30 p.m. A man driving a truck with stolen plates led police through a church parking lot where he broke an axle. The man continued to drive until he crashed into a utility pole at Hargett and Camden Streets.
The suspect attempted to run, but was quickly taken into custody.
Roads in the area were closed Saturday night.
