Suspect in Chapel Hill shooting surrenders

A man wanted in connection with a Friday night shooting on West Rosemary Street in Chapel Hill surrendered to police Tuesday morning.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — A man wanted in connection with a Friday night shooting on West Rosemary Street in Chapel Hill surrendered to police Tuesday morning.

Dennis Junious Clark, 23, was charged with attempted first-degree murder and was being held in the Orange County jail under a $500,000 bond.

Officers responding to the 300 block of West Rosemary Street found an unidentified man with multiple gunshot wounds, police said. He was taken to UNC Hospitals for treatment, but his name and condition weren't disclosed.

Police said the man wasn't a University of North Carolina student.
