Suspect Evicted From Home Just Before Bank Robbery

Posted March 4, 2008

— Financial desperation may have led a man to rob a Raleigh bank.

According to police, Daryl Carter robbed the Wachovia Bank on Spring Forest Road on Friday, February 22.

Search warrants obtained by WRAL on Monday show Carter, his wife and two sons were evicted from their Knightdale home an hour before the bank robbery.

Police seized several items from the family's new residency including a pair of black gloves and a receipt from a recently paid energy bill.

Yep - that's certainly a fine reason to go out & rob a bank!!!

I was unemployed for a YEAR back in 2002 after the country tanked from 9/11. We almost lost our home and car. Robbing a bank or anyone certainly didn't even cross our minds. It's called find a job, or two, or threee to make ends meet.
