Great job on everyone's totals during this event! I had hoped to go today but instead my car was in the shop. :-( My freezer is full anyway so it's all good.

ascherer - I'd be happy to chat with you about the binder when you get back.

jdouglas13 - the wral classes are once per quarter and $10 per person. The next one is in April. :-)

I'm definitely hoping to get some good deals today. Let's hope the important stuff is in stock!

Ascherer, Faye has a monthly class (free??) at WRAL. I attended a few years and it was awesome!

I got $255.69 for $184.72. It is only 38.4% savings but it is the best I have ever done. Plus, I also got 30 cans and pouches of cat food, 2 Aveenos, not on sale eggs (I had to have them for home and DC), and 2 cases of beer. I did get 3 rain checks. This was my final grocery store run before I drive to DC today. So it was the get everything DH needs here and whatever I need up there.

Faye - I need a refresher (newbie) class on the coupon binders soon (late March would be awesome). I talked to so many couponers last night at HT and we were all doing the envelope things. That is fine for regular shopping. SD kicks us up the humm doing that.

    Thanks for all your help.

I could not make SD's yesterday, went this morning. Wilson HT out of things I wanted, but I think I did very well. Spent $120.80 OOP $19.83, best deal was 3 containers of kitty litter for free.

What is everyone's favorite HT that seems to be well stocked during SD? Thanks! :)

  • jdouglas13 Feb 29, 2016

Congrats on all your good deals everyone! Lots of impressive savings. Well done!

I stopped into the Clayton store late Sunday afternoon. Once again, not a cart to be had, the store was mobbed, and the lines went back into the aisles. I turned around and walked out, even though I really wanted to get the weekend only deal on water. They were also out of the Sparkle paper towels which we really needed. I was so overwhelmed I forgot to get a raincheck. It just wasn't worth it.

All you JoCo folks here, let's start an email campaign to HT to let them how much their bottom line would increase with additional stores in JoCo. When we first moved out here 6 years ago, I sent them an email letting them now how much revenue they were losing out on with all the new pricey housing near Flowers. Maybe someone actually read it!

In the meantime, today or tomorrow DW and I will take a little road trip and try to find another HT that works for us when we don't want to miss out on a good sale.

bethyakascooby - Congrats on the 77% savings!!

luvstoQ - nope - the $1.50 coupon did not double since it was already free with the coupon before doubling.
