Super Bowl recipe: Buffalo Chicken Dip

If you are looking for an easy and delicious dip to make for the Super Bowl this year, I recommend this Buffalo Chicken Dip from my friend Anna! She has made it for our group of friends about a million times and everyone loves it. When I made it for a family gathering recently, my dad couldn't stop eating it.  Here's the recipe and a list of where you can find the ingredients on sale!  I'll try to remember to take a picture of it this time so I can post it.

Anna's Buffalo Chicken Dip

Ingredients

3 chicken breasts, boneless & skinless

8 oz bar of cream cheese softened (I use 1/3 less fat cream cheese)

1 cup ranch dressing (I use light Ranch)

6 oz. honey BBQ sauce

2 – 4 oz hot sauce (or more if you like it hotter)

1 cup shredded cheese (I usually use cheddar or Mexican 3-cheese mix)

Directions

Cook chicken by either boiling or cooking the slow cooker. I like to cook it in the slow cooker with some honey BBQ sauce and garlic on low for about 5 hours until cooked and easy to shred.

Once chicken is cooked, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Shred chicken. Mix all ingredients together. Pour dip into 9 x 13 pan. Cover and bake on 350 degrees for 25 – 30 minutes. Serve with crackers, chips or veggies. Enjoy!

I make a similar dip and I have found that a big time-saver for me is using a whole pre-cooked rotisserie chicken from the deli. Just remove the meat and chop up!

Your version sounds great as well, Nakabi! Thanks for posting it.

This sounds good Faye! I make something similar, but instead of the creme cheese, I put crema (Mexican sour creme) in it and add a few capers that are blended together with the ranch dressing in the blender...my husband loves it with pita crisps
