— Police have charged a 34-year-old man with robbing a SunTrust Bank branch in Raleigh Tuesday.

Carlton Theodore Landis was arrested at a Burlington motel Tuesday evening and taken to the Wake County jail.

Police say that, shortly before 10 a.m., Landis passed a note to a teller at the bank, at 7320 Creedmoor Road, saying he was armed before fleeing on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

A different SunTrust Bank branch in Raleigh was robbed Monday.

Authorities have not said whether the two might be linked.

the note said he was armed? The picture shows it all...he's clearly holding a handgun. Glad they got him.

20 years. Now if he had a JOB instead of taking from others and robbing a bank, he would have been better off. He made the wrong decision that costed him time behind bars. Was not worth it. I hope he sees that now.
