RALEIGH, N.C. — A taste of spring whetted the Triangle’s appetite for warmer weather Sunday before temperatures dip closer to normal.

Temperatures in the Triangle reach near 70 degrees on Sunday.

A cold front moving in from the west will pass through the area late Sunday night, bringing colder air to the Triangle and possible flurries or sprinkles to the mountains.

Temperatures are expected to reach 57 degrees Monday and remain in the 50s and 40s throughout the week. Low temperatures will drop to the 20s and 30s.

A wintry mix of snow and rain is possible for Wednesday.

And for those counting, the first day of spring is March 20.
