RALEIGH, N.C. — After a week of winter weather, the Triangle will feel a bit more like spring on Sunday with temperatures in the 50s and 60s.

With the warmer temperatures, though, came rain, particularly on Saturday. Several locations in the Triangle experienced strong rain and hail.

Wilmoth said Sunday should be a pleasant with warm and dry conditions.

"We'll wake up Sunday to some sun and some clouds," she said. "Lunchtime we'll have a mix of sun and clouds, but it should be a dry day for us tomorrow."

"Temperatures will be close to normal for this time of year as we wrap up the weekend."

Sunday will be much more sunny and drier than Saturday. The day will be similarly warm, with highs in the low 60s, before temperatures rise into the upper 60s and 70s for the new work week.

Temperatures will drop Sunday night with temperatures in the 40s by around 11 p.m.

Tuesday is the next change for rain, when temperatures spike to the high 70s.

The rain comes with a cold front, with highs in the 50s.

"Thursday will be even cooler, but expect lots of sunshine," Wilmoth said.
