Summer already? Expect record 78 degree temps this week

RALEIGH, N.C. — According to WRAL meteorologist Mike Moss, clouds on Sunday morning will give way to warming temperatures and plenty of sunshine.

After a colder, rainy Saturday, Sunday will be beautiful. Temperatures will warm into the 60s on Sundays afternoon, and skies will be bright and clear. According to Moss, while the work week might be more cloudy, the spring-like temperatures will stick around.

Current Temperatures, DMA

Monday will be as warm as Sunday, with highs in the low 60s, and the rest of the week will be even warmer, with highs in the mid to upper 70s. Tuesday and Wednesday's temperatures could reach 78 degrees, giving Raleigh a brief taste of summer in February.
