Subject of Silver Alert spotted at Raleigh bank

Authorities issued a Silver Alert for Gerald Michael Sano, 68, who went missing from WakeMed, on New Bern Avenue in Raleigh, Friday.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Gerald Michael Sano, the subject of a Silver Alert issued Friday was spotted that morning at a downtown Raleigh bank, according to the N.C. Center for Missing Persons.

Sano, 68, was reported missing from Wake Med at 3200 New Bern Ave. in Raleigh (map below, blue) Friday. He was seen at the Wachovia Bank on Fayetteville Street in Raleigh (red) just after 9 a.m. that day.



Police described Sano as a white man, standing 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 263 pounds. He has short, white hair.

Sano was wearing a dark jacket, plaid shirt, dark pants and brown shoes.
