Student hurt in Wake Forest school bus crash

— A 16-year-old student was hospitalized after a car collided with a school bus from Wake Forest High School Wednesday afternoon, officials said.

The crash happened at about 2:40 p.m. at North Wingate Street and Stadium Drive. No other injuries were reported.

The driver of the car was not injured and will not be charged, Town of Wake Forest officials said.

    It's probably totaled. That's a pretty good chunk of damage. Probably axle and frame damage.

    That is one tough intersection.... especially when school is being released. They use to put a cop there in the AM.

    Why are there so many accidents involving school buses? I mean they are big and they are yellow so how does one not see it.

    I sure hope that Miata can be repaired. Looks like the rear axle may be a problem.
