— An Apex teen was charged Thursday after authorities say he hit a school bus near Middle Creek High School in Cary and left the scene.

The school bus driver and two students suffered minor injuries Thursday afternoon when the teen struck the bus with a gray Honda at about 2:30 p.m., police said.

The teen was charged with misdemeanor hit-and-run, careless and reckless driving and a passenger restriction violation, according to a Wake County arrest report.

The teen was released on $1,000 bond.

The bus was carrying about 20 students at the time of the wreck. The driver and two students were taken to WakeMed Cary as a precaution.

Damage to the bus was minor, Cary police said.

The wreck itself, could be excused. Most likely a ticket of some kind, assuming he had not been drinking. Once he decided to leave the scene, serious criminal charges began to accumulate. When will people start to understand that accidents will happen? Your actions AFTER the accident, will help you tremendously, or hurt you terribly.

Maybe you should cut your hair or at the least get a decent hair cut. Then your would not have time to concern yourself with what this teenager decides to wear his hair and how low. That is his business and not yours.

The length of hair has nothing to do with any kind of accident. He has the right to wear his hair any way he wanted to. But he should never have left the scene of the accident. He just added to his problems when he did. Hope he will learn from this. Glad the driver of the bus and students are going to be OK.

yes, I am sure that if had his hair shaved off, he was a skin-head he would not have had the accident. What has the length of his hair got to do with the hit-n-run? Good comment REBE.. That is interesting!

Why so? There are lots of people with longer hair than his. What's your problem with it?

YEP! Student ..... kids do dumb things, hopefully he learns a BIG lesson from this, and maybe even lose driving privileges for a time, say till he's at least old enough to vote
