<b>WAKE FOREST, N.C.</b> — Fire heavily damaged a home in Wake Forest on Monday afternoon and drew firefighters from several companies.

The stubborn blaze at 3708 Wind Mead Road broke out about 3 p.m.

There were no confirmed injuries as firefighters fought the flames from both inside the 3,400-square-foot structure and from outside. Tax records listed the house's value at more than $350,000.
