Stroller Strides, the workout program that moms can do with their young children, is adding a new Raleigh location.

The program will mark the grand opening of a new Triangle Town Center class on Jan. 8. The morning includes a free Stroller Strides class at 9:30 a.m., followed by a playgroup with the participating moms and kids at 10:40 a.m. at the mall's new play area.

Stroller Strides is an hour-long workout program designed for moms of all fitness levels. Kids ages 6 weeks to four or five years (basically as long as they'll stay in the stroller for the class) are welcome in the stroller.

The class includes power walking or jogging, strength training and core work. At the same time, moms are interacting with their kids with songs, finger play and other fun. The classes are always followed by a playgroup for moms and kids to get to know each other better.

Classes at Triangle Town Center will begin Jan. 6 and run at 9:30 a.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays. They'll meet in front of Saks inside the mall.

To attend the Jan. 8 grand opening, be sure to register online before you go.
Fit 4 Mom, which Stroller Strides is part of, offers a variety of fitness programs for moms across the Triangle. Find them through Fit4Mom Raleigh and Fit4Mom Midtown Raleigh.
