Strep Throat Outbreak Closes Fayetteville Day Care

A Fayetteville day care is temporarily closed because of an outbreak of strep throat.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville day care is temporarily closed because of an outbreak of strep throat.

Highland Learning Center, which is part of Highland Presbyterian Church, will remain closed until Monday in an effort to contain the infection.

Five teachers and several children called in sick with the infection Wednesday. During the closure, school workers will scrub the facility.
