Woman in critical condition following Fayetteville shooting

Officers with the Fayetteville Police Department are investigating after a woman was shot while walking along Andy Street Tuesday evening.

According to police, the woman was shot while walking along Andy street, near Ike Street, at approximately 6:30 p.m. She was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where she was listed in critical condition.

Detectives are searching for a motorcyclist that was seen leaving the area moments after the shooing. The person on the motorcycle was seen wearing a bright colored shirt.
