Hopscotch Music Fest - This music festival will take over downtown Raleigh starting Thursday. Headliners this year include Erykah Badu and Beach House. Tickets are still available. Check out our special Hopscotch section on WRAL.com for our picks for each night and a list of must-see acts.

Beericana - Enjoy craft beer and live music at this festival on Saturday at Sugg Farm Park in Holly Springs. Tickets start at $45.

Raleigh Greek Festival - Taste some handmade, authentic Greek Food prepared by the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church Family using recipes handed down for generations during this 35th annual event. There will also be live Greek music and traditional folk dances. The festival runs Friday through Sunday at the Jim Graham Building at the N.C. State Fairgrounds.

National Folk Festival - This three-day celebration kicks off Friday in Greensboro. There will be food and craft vendors, live performances and more fun. Admission is free.

Txotx Fest - Black Twig Cider House will host this festival on Saturday starting at noon. This event is the first of its kind in the Southeast to celebrate cider – the fastest growing segment in the beverage industry – by bringing regional and national cider producers and chefs together. General admission tickets are $50.

N.C. Gourd Festival - Enjoy displays from around the world, workshops, arts and crafts and a free gourd crafting table for kids Saturday and Sunday at the fairgrounds. Admission is $2.

Bull Durham Blues Festival - Enjoy some great blues at Hayti Heritage Center in Durham Friday and Saturday nights.

OG Festival - The cowboys are coming to Wendell this weekend. This festival kicks off Friday night with a fish fry, live music and line dancing. The following day enjoy horseback riding, trail rides, hay rides and a pig picking. Everything happens at First Touch Horse Farm.

Darius Rucker - The former Hootie and the Blowfish front man is a country star. See his "Good for a Good Time" tour at Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek Saturday night.

Weird Al - The musical funnyman brings his "Mandatory" World Tour to Durham Performing Arts Center Friday night.

Ira Glass - The creator, producer and host of "This American Life," will be at DPAC Saturday. Go inside his storytelling process during "Seven Things I've Learned: An Evening with Ira Glass."

Leon Bridges - The Grammy nominated R&B artist and singer-songwriter plays DPAC Sunday night.

Gary Gulman - The comedian will play Goodnights Comedy Club Thursday through Saturday.

Raleigh Home Show - The show brings three jam-packed days of celebrity guests, home improvement presentations and the newest home improvement products in the market. The show runs Friday through Sunday at the Raleigh Convention Center.

Downtown Cary Food and Flea - Head to Ashworth Village in downtown Cary on Sunday for this community market featuring local artists, food trucks, music and craft beer.

Dog Olympics - The N.C. State College of Veterinary Medicine will host this 25th annual event featuring dogs of all breeds and sizes on Saturday. In addition to the competitions, there will be an Olympic village with more than 20 vendors.

9/11 Commemoration and Service Event - Join fellow citizens to commemorate the 15th anniversary of Sept. 11 by honoring those lost with acts of service at Red Hat Amphitheater in Raleigh on Sunday. Starting at 1 p.m., citizens will participate in service projects at stations throughout the amphitheater, hear words from local leaders, and enjoy live music to conclude Activate Good's 9/11 Weekend of Service.
