Two Goldsboro men were kidnapped Sunday night when six masked men mimicked law enforcement to pull the victims over, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office said Monday.

One of the victims has been released, but the other was still missing, authorities said.

Israil Aguirre, 24, reported the kidnapping after the alleged kidnappers let him go early Monday. He told investigators that he and 48-year-old Geniro Jamis were stopped on Leonard Drive, off New Hope Road, by a white SUV with blue, yellow and red flashing lights around 10:30 p.m.

Once they stopped, six men wearing masks forced them into the SUV at gunpoint and drove away, Aguirre told investigators.

Anyone with information is asked to call sheriff's detectives at 919-731-1481 or Crime Stoppers at 919-735-2255.
