Wake Forest gives Rolesville WR Jaedon Alford his first ACC offer

Wake Forest is the second in-state school to offer Alford after ECU did it last week.

HighSchoolOT All-State wide receiver Jaedon Alford's recruitment has taken off. According to his X account, Alford has added a verbal scholarship offer from Wake Forest University.

The junior from Rolesville High School is 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds.

After receiving an offer from Bethune-Cookman in the fall, East Carolina University's football team became the first FBS program to offer Alford last week. Appalachian State joined the Pirates in offering Alford four days later. Some hours before the Wake Forest offer, Liberty University made an offer.

The receiver broke out during his junior season in 2023. He caught 92 passes for 1,815 yards and 21 touchdowns.

Alford was one of five Rolesville players to be named to HSOT’s All-State Team.

Rolesville finished the season with a 12-2 overall record. The Rams fell to Cardinal Gibbons in the fourth round of the NCHSAA 4A East playoffs.
