UNC joins the race for East Forsyth sophomore receiver Jaire Richburg
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's football program is the latest to offer East Forsyth sophomore wide receiver Jaire Richburg. Richburg has already been offered by Duke, NC State, and Wake Forest. He also holds an offer from Appalachian State.
Colleges are interested in the 6-foot-3, 190-pound class of 2026 pass catcher for his frame and athleticism.
As a sophomore on East Forsyth's varsity football team in 2023, Richburg had 42 receptions for 589 yards and nine touchdowns. East Forsyth finished the season with an overall record of 10-2. The Eagles fell to Independence in the second round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association's 4A West playoffs.
East Forsyth's class of 2025 quarterback Bryce Baker is a 4-star prospect who is already committed to the Tar Heels.
Richburg's first offer came from Boston College on Oct. 14. Since then, Richburg has received offers from (in order) Duke, App State, NC State, Wake Forest, Louisville, Maryland, Penn State, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Liberty, and Temple.
