Two killed in separate Fayetteville shootings

Fayetteville police said that a 22-year-old man was shot to death in a car parked at a strip mall Saturday evening, and a second man was shot to death inside his apartment early Sunday.

Fayetteville police said that Michael Ray Staggs, 22, was shot to death his found dead in his car parked outside a strip mall at 155 Bonanza Drive around 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011.

Two people died in separate shootings overnight in Fayetteville, police said Sunday.

Michael Ray Staggs, 22, was found dead in his car parked outside Super Compare Foods in a strip mall at 155 Bonanza Drive around 8 p.m. Saturday, police said. He had been shot in the head, and the car was riddled with bullets.

Police are looking for a white man driving a burgundy Ford F-150 pick-up truck.

Police said a second man was killed in his apartment at 3385 Galleria Drive around 1:25 a.m. Sunday. Keith Lamont Cole, 30, had been shot in the chest.

No suspects have been identified.
