The Chocolate Boutique offers a variety of chocolately confections.

North Raleigh's Fork and Barrel closed its doors on Tuesday.

We found out this one from our friend Triangle Food Guy. The Little Dipper “Fondue on Main" opened a few weeks ago at Brightleaf Square on Main Street in Durham. Founded in Wilmington, this is their second location. They specialize in cheese and chocolate fondue, salads, soups and more. They also offer craft beer and unique "Durham cocktails."

You know we have a bit of a sweet tooth here at Out and About, so we are thrilled to say that another bakery is on the way to the Triangle. GoodyBox Cupcakes has signed a lease and is hoping to open soon on Chapel Hill Road in Morrisville, according to their Facebook page. They specialize in scratch-made cupcakes and custom designed cakes.

The Chocolate Boutique will open its second retail location in Morrisville's Park West Village on May 9. Their grand opening party is from 4-8 p.m. that day and will include live chocolate-making demonstrations, chocolate wine tastings, samples, giveaways and more! I am a fan of the Lafayette Village location. They have great chocolate and the wine - oh the wine!

More more piece of sweet news. Groovy Duck Bakery has opened on Edward Mills Road in Raleigh. They were charting their progress on their website and now they are open! They have cakes, coffee and muffins (chocolate chip peanut butter is on our to-do list). Make sure to go in and ask for a "travel duck!"

Corbett's Burgers and Soda Bar is getting closer to opening on Kilmayne Drive in Cary. According to posts on their Facebook page, they have hired a staff. The restaurant will serve fresh burgers ground daily, all beef hot dogs, milkshakes, seasoned fries and more than 200 varieties of glass bottled sodas.

Steel String Craft Brewery will officially open its doors in Carrboro on May 10 with a grand opening celebration, but you can check them through May 1 during their soft opening. They will be operating with limited hours 5-10 p.m.

We have one more closing to report this week. Last Friday, we said goodbye to Joel Lane's Public House, which closed its doors for the last time on April 26.
