Trial begins for man charged in deadly Fayetteville road rage shooting

The trial is underway for a man charged in a deadly road rage incident in Fayetteville.

On Friday, prosecutors played the interview Roger Nobles, 51, had with a detective in January 2022 after he allegedly shot another man in traffic.

Nobles first said he accidentally shot Stephen Addison, 32, but later changed his story, saying he shot Addison in self-defense.

The defense will present its case on Monday.

Addison was shot and killed Jan. 3, 2022, while riding his motorcycle at the intersection of Skibo and Cliffdale roads.

Nobles was charged with first-degree murder in his death.
