Tractor-trailer overturns on I-85 ramp in Durham during Wednesday morning commute

A tractor-trailer overturned on the ramp from I-85 southbound onto I-885 in Durham, causing some delays during the Wednesday morning commute.

Both lanes were closed on the ramp as crews worked to clear the overturned tractor-trailer.

Sky 5 flew over the scene where the tractor-trailer was flipped onto its side.

Delays were mostly confined to the ramp itself, but there were some onlooker delays on the northbound side of I-885.

To avoid the traffic, drivers can take the can take the Club Blvd. interchange down to Junction Road and then Cheek Road. Drivers can join I-885 S from Cheek Road and come out on the other side of the delays.
