A man was taken into custody Tuesday after an hours-long standoff in Fayetteville.

Before 10 a.m., officers gathered around a shed on Corrina Street, near W. Cochran Avenue, to arrest a suspect who was wanted, according to police.

A WRAL News crew was there around 12:15 p.m. when a man emerged from the shed and was put inside a police car.

Very limited details were available.

The shed was located in a neighborhood, so there was no major impact to the public or traffic.
