Softball Rankings: Mooresville tabbed new No. 1, Oak Grove surges to No. 2 after big week

Four teams ranked in last week's statewide top-10 dropped games, including Northwest Guilford who held down the No. 1 spot in HighSchoolOT's rankings for the past four weeks.

Four new teams break into the Top-25, and another half dozen found their way into the Top-15 of our area code rankings.

Oak Grove's win over Northwest Guilford skyrockets the Grizzlies to No. 2 in the state while Mooresville earns the top spot for the first time this season. Despite dropping two games Northwest Guilford only slid down to the ninth spot while Wakefield dipped to tenth after a loss to defending state champion Apex.

Marvin Ridge and Garner break back into the top-10. High Point Christian, West Henderson, East Rowan, and Topsail find themselves in this week's top-25 as newcomers.
