Silver Alert issued for woman last seen at Durham's Brightleaf Square

The N.C. Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert Saturday for Leslie Michelle Jones, 40, who was last seen at 100 N. Gregson St. in Durham's Brightleaf Square business district.

Jones, a black woman with short, brown hair, was wearing gray pants and shirt and pink and white sneakers. She weighs about 120 pounds and is about 5 feet 4 inches tall and is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

Authorities said she might have been headed for the Durham Area Transit Authority terminal a couple blocks away at 515 W. Pettigrew Street.
