The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert Wednesday evening for a missing Cary woman.

Andrea A. Rheault, 41, is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

Rheault is white, stands 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 125 pounds. She has shoulder-lentgh brown hair and brown eyes.

Cary police said she was last seen at Stratford Apartments in Cary and could be headed to Durham in a 2010 black Dodge Challenger with North Carolina license plate ZRE2667.

Anyone with information about Rheault should call the Cary Police Department at 919-469-4012.

Developed in 2007, Silver Alert is a system to quickly notify the public about missing endangered adults who suffer from dementia or other cognitive impairments, such as Alzheimer's disease.

It also allows caregivers and nursing homes to report a person missing. In the past, only a family member could report an adult missing.
