Schedule, matchups, tickets, TV & streaming info: NCHSAA basketball championships this weekend
The N.C. High School Athletic Association state championships in boys and girls basketball at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum have been finalized.
This is the first time in which the NCHSAA has hosted a "Final Four" style event for the basketball regional championships and state championships. All regional championship games were played Monday through Thursday. The championships are Friday (for 1A and 3A) and Saturday (for 2A and 4A)
The NCHSAA made this change in response to growing problems with regional venues. Last year, the NCHSAA was forced to apologize after people who purchased tickets to regional championships were unable to gain access because venues were over capacity.
Here are the matchups and schedule for the state championships:
1A & 3A State Championships — Friday, March 15
- 1:00 PM — 1A Boys: Corvian Community vs. Wilson Prep
- 3:30 PM — 3A Girls: West Rowan vs. Terry Sanford
- 6:00 PM — 1A Girls: Cherokee vs. East Columbus
- 8:30 PM — 3A Boys: Central Cabarrus vs. Seventy First
2A & 4A State Championships — Saturday, March 16
- 12:00 PM — 4A Girls: Charlotte Catholic vs. Rolesville
- 2:30 PM — 2A Girls: East Burke vs. North Pitt
- 5:00 PM — 2A Boys: Reidsville vs. Farmville Central
- 7:30 PM — 4A Boys: North Mecklenburg vs. New Hanover

Ticket, parking, concessions information
Tickets to the NCHSAA basketball championships go on sale at 1 p.m. on Saturday and can be purchased online via the website for Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum and Ticketmaster. You may also call (336) 758-2450.
You can also buy tickets at the door.
Parking at the event will cost $10 per car and can be purchased with cash or card.
Concessions are available for purchase inside the venue and are cashless.

How to watch basketball championship week
