Sales are slow for state's multimillion-dollar raffle

North Carolina Education Lottery officials say sales are slow for the state's multi-million dollar raffle.

The lottery is selling 500,000 tickets for the Cash Splash Millionaire Raffle. So far, 150,000 tickets have sold, spokesman Van Denton said Wednesday.

Lottery officials expect more sales during the week of drawing. Tickets are $20 each for the Sept. 8 drawing.

The raffle has three top prizes of $1 million apiece.
