ROBES

If you’re dining at The Station in Carrboro one evening, you might hear some muffled music from across the parking lot. No, not across the street at the Cat’s Cradle, but inside The Merch; a screen printing business owned by long time Triangle musician, Patrick Cudahy.

Cudahy and his buddy Chris Williams have worked for over a decade on several independent music projects. Their latest act has come together in the form of, ROBES.

This two man show packs a big synth-pop sound that is fascinating to see funneled down with just the few instruments they bring on stage. It’s taken a lot of trial and error to accomplish their latest identity, but it was worth the wait.

Up next for ROBES is the release of their Welcome Worn 7” and Dead Sound 7”. Keep an eye out for that release party in late September.

Cudahy and Williams don’t historically play a lot of live sets. This is something they are working to change. I know I'm looking forward to catching them soon.
