Recipe: Father's Day Brunch Monkey Bread

Chef Hannah and her dad whip up this breakfast treat in the Flour Power Kids Cooking Studio kitchen. It makes for a perfect Father's Day breakfast.

Father's Day Brunch Monkey Bread

1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 cans biscuits
1/2 cup raisins and walnuts (if desired)
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 cup melted butter

Directions:

1. Heat oven to 350°. Grease 12-cup fluted tube pan with shortening or cooking spray.

2. In large storage plastic food bag, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon.

3. Separate dough into biscuits; cut each into quarters. Add to plastic bag.

4. Shake the biscuits in bag to coat. Arrange in pan, adding walnuts and raisins among the biscuit pieces.

5. In small bowl, mix brown sugar and butter well and pour over biscuit pieces.

6. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown and no longer doughy in center. Cool in pan 10 minutes.

7. Turn upside down onto serving plate; pull apart to serve.
