A Raleigh restaurant is closing at the end of the month.

Fine Folk restaurant at 2409 Crabtree Blvd. made the announcement on its social media pages.

“From the jump, Fine Folk has been through the toughest of times, and this summer was among the biggest hardships we’ve faced,” the post reads. “Go out, support your local businesses. Support your friends.

“Words cannot express our gratitude to those who have stuck with us over the past three years. Through all our locations, menus, concepts, and wild ideas. Thank you.”

Fine Folk’s website states that after the COVID-19 pandemic hit, chef and owner Chris Lopez pivoted his previous Southern-inspired restaurant to a burger joint called Gov’t Cheeseburger. The restaurant fell victim to the pandemic and Fine Folk came into existence.

“We set out to create a space that we could be proud of – that Raleigh could be proud of – and we did just that,” the post states. “Stay tuned for details regarding our last hurrah. Goin’ out on our own terms, with style.”

Fine Folk is known for its fresh food, including its burgers, coastal catch and chicken and rice.
