Raleigh man in critical condition after falling from Bogue Inlet Pier

A Raleigh man is in critical condition after falling off the Bogue Inlet Pier in Emerald Isle, N.C., Saturday.

Emerald Isle officials confirmed Sunday that 41-year-old Daniel Flores fell from the pier into shallow water where he required medical attention. Flores was taken to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. His injuries are unknown.

Media reports say the incident happen at approximately 11 a.m. Saturday and that alcohol may have been a factor.
