Police respond to crash, find homicide

Officers responding to a traffic accident at the intersection of Old Oxford Highway and Danube Lane found a dead man inside a wrecked, brown Honda Accord.

Durham police are investigating a homicide that happened Tuesday night on Danube Lane.

Officers responding to a traffic accident at the intersection of Old Oxford Highway and Danube Lane found a dead man inside a wrecked, brown Honda Accord.

The man, identified as Tony Bernard Williams, 25, of Duke Homestead Road, had been shot.

Witnesses told police that Williams had been sitting in his car, talking to people in a small silver or white car when shots rang out and the smaller car sped off.
