One person killed in multi-vehicle crash on I-85 in Granville County

One person died in an early morning crash Thursday on Interstate 85 in Granville County.

Just before 2 a.m., state troopers responded to a report of an overturned vehicle crash with a pin-in.

The State Highway Patrol (SHP) said said three vehicles were involved in the crash. One person died in the crash, according to the SHP.

I-85 North was closed south of Butner before Exit 202 at U.S. Highway 15, but the road is now open.

State troopers, fire crews and EMS were still at the scene of the crash at 3:45 a.m.
