State business leaders eye-to-eye with GOP lawmakers

North Carolina business leaders and state lawmakers got together Tuesday afternoon, and the business folks appeared to like what they heard from the politicians.

Business leaders said they are encouraged by the Republican takeover of the General Assembly, hoping the House and Senate will take up issues like workers' compensation rules and tort reform in addition to cutting state spending and lowering taxes.
