A woman suspected in the death of a North Carolina Central University student is out of jail on bond.
On Tuesday, a judge set Shannon Crawley's bond at $175,000. Crawley, a former Guilford County 911 dispatcher, has been charged with the death of Denita Smith.
Smith was found dead at the bottom of a Durham apartment stairwell in January.
Police have not said anything about a motive for the shooting. Court documents state Crawley lived blocks from Smith's fiancé, Jermeir Stroud, who is a Greensboro police officer. Stroud has told investigators that Crawley was stalking him.
