Thieves are targeting coin-operated laundry machines at apartment complexes in Raleigh.
Raleigh police are investigating a rash of thefts from coin-operated laundry machines at several apartment complexes.

Police said 26 reports have been filed from Dec. 6, 2006 and Feb. 28, 2007, concerning the thefts.

Authorities said 22 thefts happened in north Raleigh, with 17 of them occurring between Glenwood Avenue and Louisburg Road. Police said five complexes have filed multiple incident reports.
