An arrest has been made in Holly Springs' only murder in more than a decade.

The U.S. Marshals' Violent Fugitive Task Force picked up George Young on Friday afternoon. He and another man were wanted in connection with the shooting death of 18-year-old Douglas Mangum.

Mangum, a student at Middle Creek High School, was shot outside his home in June. He re-entered the house, said he had been shot and collapsed.

His death was the first homicide in Holly Springs since 1995.

The other suspect in the shooting death, James Anthony Batiste Jr., was arrested by U.S. Marshals on June 15 in Raleigh. Batiste was charged with Accessory After the Fact of Homicide for his alleged participation in the homicide.
