A scaled-down version of the "Coker Towers" project gets the green light.
The Raleigh planning commission voted for a developer's plan to breathe new life into the old Occidental Insurance Building. The building will be renovated and used as office space.
The project is part of a larger plan to build a mix of office, retail and residential space at Wade Avenue and Oberlin Road. The proposal is smaller than the original 11-acre site.
