North Carolina Central University (NCCU) announced Monday that all online classes will be suspended until further notice due to a cyberintrusion incident.

In a statement to students, faculty, and staff, NCCU said that its Information Technology Services (ITS) department was alerted to a possible cyberintrusion on Sunday morning and began an investigation. The

investigation determined that NCCU had indeed experienced a cyberintrusion, and as a result, the school has suspended all online classes until further notice.

NCCU said that certain systems, including the campus Wi-Fi network and MyEOL, began to experience some disruptions to normal operations during the investigation. However, other critical systems continue to be operational.

NCCU says there is no reason to believe that any personal or sensitive information was compromised in the cyberintrusion.

All face-to-face classes will continue to be held as scheduled.
