Man arrested in robbery of Raleigh bank

Authorities have arrested a suspect in Monday’s robbery of BB&T bank, 8521 Brier Creek Parkway in Raleigh.
Raleigh police said around 9:30 a.m. an armed and masked man robbed the bank.
Officers responding to the scene circulated the area and spotted a man matching the suspect’s description. Police said the man ran away from the officer and into a nearby shopping area. He went into a restaurant where a K-9 and patrol officers detained him.
The suspect, 47-year-old Xavier Hosea Shaw, is charged with one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Shaw was also served with an outstanding warrant, which charges him with assault on a female.
Shaw was taken to the Wake County jail.
