J.H. Rose baseball coach Ronald Vincent has won the Lifetime Achievement Award at this year's HighSchoolOT Honors award show.

An institution in Greenville, and the winningest coach in a single sport in N.C. High School Athletic Association history, Vincent just wrapped up his 51st season of a highly decorated career.

Vincent has led the Rampants' baseball team to seven state championship victories, coming in 1975, 1997, 1999, 2003, 2004, 2008 and 2021.

In April of this year, Vincent earned arguably his crowning achievement when the Rampants beat Jacksonville for his 1,000th career win.

"I really can't put it into words. It's a lot longevity; a lot of great players obviously, a lot of good assistant coaches," Vincent told HighSchoolOT after that game. "It's hard to imagine — I can't believe I'm still coaching and I'm still here."

Vincent is the only coach in NCHSAA history to win 1,000 games in a single sport.

In 2013, Vincent was inducted in to the NCHSAA Hall of Fame. He also was named the association's Coach of the Year in 2022.

In addition to leading the baseball program, Vincent has also served as an assistant coach on the football team at Rose along with his charitable efforts in the area that include youth baseball camps, the Babe Ruth league and volunteering with the Boy Scouts.
